Larry Kincaid was born in Isaban (McDowell Co.) W.Va in a small coal mining town. Moved to Beckley W.Va at the age of 8. Always had an interest in art but never attempted to paint until later in life. The love for Mountains and old buildings has a big influence on his painting. At the age of 18 joined the United States Marine Corp and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. Returning to the States he moved to North Carolina where he met and married his wife Marsha. They have three wonderful children. Doing paintings as a hobby and entering a few local art shows has been alot of fun. Surfs the internet and always looking at paintings of others. Biggest influence has been Lynn Pittard, Brenda Harris and Bob Ross through their Art Shows back in the 1990's.
